Phone numbers
Open the organization menu → Phone → Numbers to see the organization’s phone-line inventory. This is the source of truth for managed and imported lines.

Read the number list
Section titled “Read the number list”The Numbers panel provides a searchable list with filters for useful operating states, including unassigned lines, lines that need attention, lines able to text, and lines with custom intake. Select a line to open its details.
The details show the line’s holder, registration/capability information, and the available actions. A line can have an owner, be unassigned, or be managed through the organization’s connected Twilio account.
Add, assign, and release lines
Section titled “Add, assign, and release lines”- Use Add number to open the number picker. Purchased numbers lets an administrator select an existing organization line to transfer; New number lets them search an area code or request a random result before choosing a new managed line. Selecting a result enables the final transfer or acquisition action.
- Use Import from Twilio when your organization is connecting its own Twilio account.
- Assign a line to a teammate from the organization menu → Organization → People.
- Unassign a line when another teammate will use it later; this keeps it in the organization’s available pool.
- Release a managed line only when the organization intends to relinquish it.

Keep lines ready for SMS
Section titled “Keep lines ready for SMS”The list’s capability information is the best place to investigate a number that cannot send a text. For a managed account, open the organization menu → Phone → Registration to review A2P status. For an organization-owned Twilio account, review the selected campaign and connection in the Registration panel.
See A2P registration and texting compliance and Bring your own Twilio account for the setup paths.
