Merge Duplicate Contacts

Goliath provides a Merge contact… action on the contact record when the viewer can perform the merge. It opens a search step, then the Possible Duplicates review workflow. The contact screen has no automatic duplicate scan; Ask Goliath can scan every contact for duplicate groups (the same name sharing a phone or email, or the same name alone) and merge a group on your yes.

  1. Open the contact you want to merge from Contacts.
  2. Open Contact options and select Merge contact….
  3. Search for and select the other contact record.
  4. Review the pair in Possible Duplicates and complete the merge there.

Review the records before confirming. If you are unsure which record should remain, stop and compare their details, related work, tags, and list memberships first.

The merge action is not shown in every contact presentation. Open the contact from the Contacts workspace rather than from a read-only preview or another record’s compact rail.
