Trigger a Workflow on Contacts

Only active contact workflows are available to start. If the picker says No active workflows, activate a contact workflow first, from the Workflows tab of Automations. The exact actions available also depend on your organization’s Automations access.

Use this path when the same workflow should begin for a group of contacts.

  1. Select contacts

Open Contacts, filter the list if needed, then select the rows to include.

  2. Open Trigger workflow

Choose More → Trigger workflow from the bulk action bar.

  3. Choose one active workflow

The bulk picker is a single-workflow selection. Choose the workflow, review the contact count, then select Trigger workflow.

  4. Wait for the enrollment result

Goliath first confirms that the selected contacts are entering the workflow. When processing finishes, it updates the result with the contacts that were actually enrolled or could not be enrolled.

Use this path when you are working with an individual contact and may need to start more than one workflow.

  1. Open the contact

    Select the contact from Contacts.

  2. Open Workflows

In the contact activity header, select Workflows. This control shows the contact’s existing workflow state.

  3. Choose Start a workflow

Select Start a workflow, choose one or more active workflows, then select Start.

  4. Review the result

Return to Workflows to review active, paused, and completed runs. From this panel you can open a run, and use the available controls to pause or resume it.

Goliath checks the contact’s current enrollment before starting a workflow. If your selection includes a workflow the contact has already completed, it asks for confirmation instead of silently starting it again. Review that confirmation carefully: a rerun can repeat the workflow’s configured actions.
