Get a spreadsheet or document from Ask Goliath
Ask Goliath can turn a list into a spreadsheet (CSV) file, or write up a summary or report as a document. Ask in plain words: “make me a spreadsheet of my contacts tagged Probate”, “export these properties to a CSV”, or “write a one-page summary of this week’s pipeline”.
Where the file appears
Section titled “Where the file appears”The file shows up in the chat as a file you select to download. It is usually saved to your Library too, and Goliath says where, for example My files › calls.csv. See Files.
You can also ask from Library: in Files or Downloads, select New and describe the file you want.
A CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. A cell that starts with =,
+, - or @ is saved with a leading apostrophe so a spreadsheet treats it
as text rather than a formula; phone numbers that start with + show that
apostrophe too.
Who can see it
Section titled “Who can see it”Only you, at first. The file belongs to your chat with Ask Goliath, and the copy in My files is private to you until you share it.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”Creating a file needs permission to export data. If Goliath says you do not have it, ask an organization admin to turn it on for you under Manage Permissions.
How many rows
Section titled “How many rows”- When Goliath writes rows it has already read in the chat, a file holds up to 200 rows.
- When it builds the file straight from your records, a file holds up to 5,000 rows, or the number you asked for (“my top 50”). If more records match, the file holds the first 5,000 and Goliath tells you how many there are in all. A few lists can only be read one page at a time; for those, Goliath tells you the file may not hold every row.
- A file has at most 50 columns.
For a bigger list, use the app’s own export: select the rows on the Contacts or Properties page, choose Download file, and collect the result in Library → Downloads. See Downloads.
You can create up to 20 files an hour. Past that, Goliath tells you when you can try again.
Credits for property files
Section titled “Credits for property files”A file of properties is billed the same way as downloading properties from the Properties page: it uses one property export credit per row in the file. You are charged once per file, as it is created; if the file then cannot be saved, the credits are returned. Ask for the number you need (“my 50 highest-scoring properties”) rather than the whole list. If your workspace does not have enough credits, or its plan does not include property exports, no file is created and Goliath explains why.
Files of contacts, deals, tasks and other records do not use credits, and neither does a file of property rows Goliath had already read and shown you in the chat.
