Manage billing, plans, and a trial

Open Billing
Section titled “Open Billing”Organization administrators can open the organization menu → Billing. The page shows the organization’s credit section and its plan options. It is intentionally admin-gated: ask an organization administrator to make plan, payment, or subscription changes if you cannot open it.
Review or change a plan
Section titled “Review or change a plan”Use the Monthly and Annual control above the plan columns to compare the billing cycles Goliath currently offers. Each plan column shows its displayed price, included-seat information when applicable, and a button that matches the organization’s current state:
- Start with plan starts a subscription when there is no active one.
- Upgrade to plan is shown for a higher plan or a different billing cycle.
- Switch to plan is shown for a lower plan when there is an active subscription.
- Manage subscription is available on the current plan.
Review the confirmation dialog before completing a change. A lower-plan change can be scheduled for a future effective date; the page identifies both the current plan’s end date and the future plan’s start date when that happens. Do not rely on a generic rule about when a change takes effect. The confirmation and any pending-change notice show the date for this subscription.
Each plan includes a number of seats. On an active paid subscription, adding a teammate past them adds one paid seat automatically when they accept; see Does adding a teammate cost extra?
Manage a subscription
Section titled “Manage a subscription”Choose Manage subscription on the current plan to review the subscription’s line items and manage available actions.
- Use Payment methods to open the payment-method portal. That portal is also the route for invoices where they are available.
- Use Cancel subscription to schedule cancellation. The dialog reports the cancellation date and offers Resume while a paid subscription is still scheduled to end.
- If a plan change is already scheduled, use Keep current plan to cancel that pending change.
Some organizations are under a contract. In that state Billing shows the contract end date and directs the administrator to text support at (413) 486-5740 for earlier changes instead of offering an unsupported self-service cancellation.
Trial status
Section titled “Trial status”When an organization is trialing, Billing shows a Trial active notice with the specific end time when the application has it. The notice explains that the card is charged at trial end unless the trial is cancelled first, and that plan-included credits remain locked during the trial. Use the page’s End Trial action if you want to end it early; review the charge-confirmation dialog before accepting it.
Cancelling a trial and cancelling a paid subscription are different. The subscription dialog warns that cancelling a trial removes access immediately, whereas a paid subscription keeps access through the displayed cancellation date.
Payment problems and credits
Section titled “Payment problems and credits”If the most recent payment failed, Billing displays a warning. An organization administrator can select Update Payment Method from that notice. Other members are directed to their administrator.
When the organization has no default payment method, Billing instead shows a No payment method on file notice. Auto-recharge remains off until an administrator uses Add payment method to open the billing portal and adds a default method.

The Usage this cycle table below your plan lists each credit the organization has, how much of the plan’s allowance is used, what was purchased, what is available, and its auto-recharge setting; Add buys more. Prices, balances, and which credits can be purchased are loaded for the current account, so use those live values rather than a copied price, reset, or rollover policy.
