Create and Manage Pipelines

The current Create Deal dialog.

The current Create Deal dialog.

The pipeline sidebar’s Manage action opens Manage Pipelines. People with permission to edit a pipeline can create, rename, reorder, duplicate, and delete pipelines from that manager.

  1. Open Pipelines and select Manage in the pipeline sidebar.
  2. Select New Pipeline.
  3. Enter a Pipeline Name. You can also add a description.
  4. Add one or more stages in Stages.
  5. Select Create Pipeline.

The manager warns when the proposed name or stage names duplicate existing names, but permits you to continue after review.

Choose a pipeline in Manage Pipelines. Its Stages tab lets an editor rename and reorder stages, and the Add Stage control opens a field for one or more new stages. Save the new stages when ready.

Each stage has a Stage settings control. It can set:

  • Win prob, from 0 to 100 percent.
  • Final stage, which marks the stage as terminal.
  • Outcome for a final stage: Won, Lost, or Neutral.
  • A stage description.

Use the stage deletion flow rather than assuming a destination: the confirmation asks you to resolve affected deals and workflow dependencies before deleting the stage.

For an editable pipeline, Manage Pipelines also has Custom Fields and Card Display tabs. Those settings belong to that pipeline, not every pipeline in the organization.
