Memory
Memory is where you see what Goliath has learned about how your team works: the rules, preferences, decisions and facts that your AI employees and Ask Goliath read before they act. Each person, the team and each AI employee has its own memory. Contacts your team works on get one too. A rule for one workflow is kept in the Team memory, naming the workflow.
Open Memory
Section titled “Open Memory”Memory is in your profile menu, not in the main sidebar.
- Select your name or photo at the bottom of the main sidebar.
- Select Memory.

If you do not see Memory, your admin has turned off the Files permission for you. That permission covers both the Library and Memory; see Roles and permissions.
Memory Home
Section titled “Memory Home”Memory opens on Memory Home. From top to bottom it shows:
- What the team remembers: a map of the team’s notes beside a list of their topics, biggest first. Point at a topic to light it on the map.
- Search everything Goliath remembers: one search across every memory you can open. Press / to jump to it.
- Your memory: how many notes Goliath keeps about you, a few of them, and a line about what changed overnight.
- Team memory: the notes every AI employee and session on your team reads.
- People: your teammates. Everyone on the team can open a teammate’s memory.
- AI employees: each employee Goliath remembers something about, and how many notes it has. See all opens the full list.
- Things Goliath remembers: Contacts that have notes of their own. Anything with nothing remembered yet is named on one line at the bottom.

See all under AI employees lists every employee with how many notes it has and when its memory last changed. Find AI employees narrows the list.

The kinds of memory
Section titled “The kinds of memory”| Memory | What it holds | Who can change it |
|---|---|---|
| You | How you work. Teammates can read it, except your private notes. | You |
| A teammate | How that teammate works. | That teammate |
| Team | What every AI employee and session on your team should follow. | Organization admins. Everyone else can read it. |
| An AI employee | What that employee has learned about its job. | Anyone who can open it |
| A contact | What your team knows about that contact, their house included. You see the ones you can open in Contacts. | Anyone who can open it |
A memory you can only read says so in its header.
Inside one memory
Section titled “Inside one memory”Open any memory to see its header (the note count and when it last changed), then the Notes tab. Your own memory also has a Trust tab: what Goliath, and the AI employees working for you, may do on their own.
Notes show in three views:
- Journal (the default): what changed, day by day. A person’s note is marked Stated, and a note Goliath worked out is marked Derived.
- Map: notes grouped by topic. It needs at least 12 notes.
- List: every note, grouped by kind (Rules, Preferences, Decisions, How things are done, Facts and so on).

To add, change, pin or forget notes, see Teach and correct Memory. To decide what Goliath and your AI employees do on their own, see Trust in Memory.
