deleteContactCustomField
Permanently delete a contact custom-field DEFINITION (id from listContactCustomFields).
Permanently delete a contact custom-field DEFINITION (id from listContactCustomFields). DESTRUCTIVE AND IRREVERSIBLE: every value recorded on every contact for it is deleted, NOT moved to another field. Prefer updateContactCustomField when the field is merely wrong rather than unwanted. Call getDeletionImpact first (targetKind CONTACT_CUSTOM_FIELD, targetId the field id): it reports how many contacts hold a value and which filters/workflows reference the field, and returns the impactVersion to hand back as dependencyResolution.impactVersion (with an empty replacements array when it reports no replacementRequirements). A required replacement redirects those filters/workflows to another field; it does not carry contact values over. The impactVersion goes stale if anything changes in between: re-read the impact and retry rather than reuse an old one. System-defined fields (e.g. Buyer/Seller) cannot be deleted. Confirm with the user before calling.

The example sends only what the schema requires. Some operations also need one of several optional variables (one filter or another, say); the description above says which.

unknown_variableA variable the operation does not declare. A typo is refused rather than silently dropped.
unauthorizedNo bearer header, or the key is invalid or revoked.
insufficient_scopeThe key lacks the scope the operation requires.
forbiddenA referenced record does not exist, was deleted, or is outside your organization. The gateway cannot tell those apart.
idempotency_conflictA request with this Idempotency-Key is still in flight.
Idempotency
Send an Idempotency-Key of 1 to 255 characters. A finished request retried with the same key replays its stored response, marked Idempotency-Replayed: true; one still in flight returns 409 idempotency_conflict. Keys expire after 24 hours. Write without fear →
