Automations Map API
Read your organization's Automations Map, its version history, and restore an earlier version through the Goliath developer API
About
The Automations Map is the drawing of how your organization’s workflows and AI employees fit together: journeys, steps and the edges between them. These operations read the current Map with the live state of everything it stands for, walk its version history, and put an earlier version back.
All operations go through the developer API gateway — one endpoint, called by
operationId. If you haven’t set up a key yet, start with the
Developer API Overview.
Operations
Reading the Map (READ scope)
| operationId | What it does |
|---|---|
getAutomationMap |
The current Map. story is the drawing as JSON (journeys, steps, edges, and each step’s detail); refStates gives every workflow or AI employee a step stands for with its state now (on, off or draft) and its setup as label/value facts; changedSince lists records saved after this version was drawn, so the Map may be out of date. When the organization has no Map yet, this read draws one from its workflows and AI employees and saves it; null when there is nothing to draw. Returns the pageId and version the other operations take. |
listAutomationMapVersions |
The Map’s version history (pageId from getAutomationMap), newest first: number, note, when, who, and bySession — true when Ask Goliath wrote that version rather than a person. |
getAutomationMapVersion |
One earlier version (pageId, version) with the story it was written with. |
Restoring a version (WRITE scope)
| operationId | What it does |
|---|---|
restoreAutomationMapVersion |
Put an earlier version back, as the Map’s Versions menu does: it is copied forward as the new current version, so nothing is lost and the restore can itself be undone the same way. |
Example
Read the Map, then list its versions:

-H "Authorization: Bearer gsk_YOUR_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{ "operationId": "getAutomationMap", "variables": {} }'

-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{ "operationId": "listAutomationMapVersions", "variables": { "pageId": "PAGE_ID" } }'
Full variable schemas, response shapes, and worked examples for every operation are available from the discovery endpoint.
