Task management in Goliath is designed to keep your day organized and your follow-ups on track. This guide walks through how tasks are structured inside the workspace, how to prioritize what needs to be done today, and how to complete and review tasks efficiently. Whether you’re working solo or as part of a team, the goal is to make sure every responsibility is visible, actionable, and tied back to the right contact so nothing gets missed. 

What's covered in the video

  1. Tasks are categorized into four key sections:

  • Tasks Due Today: Tasks that need to be completed today.

  • Overview Tasks: General tasks that may not have a specific due date.

  • Future Tasks: Tasks that are scheduled for future completion.

  • Completed Tasks: Tasks that have already been finished.

2. Filtering Tasks by Team Member

To filter tasks by individual team members:

  • Type the name of the team member in the filter search bar.

  • This will display all tasks associated with that individual.

3. Selecting and Opening a Task

To select a task:

  • Click on the task module you are interested in.

  • A side panel will open displaying task details.

 4. Completing a Task

To complete a task:

  • Follow up with the assigned individual (e.g., call, text, or email).

  • Once completed, mark the task as complete by:

    • Checking the box on the right side of the panel.

    • Alternatively, click on the three dots (dot, dot, dot) and select 'Mark as Complete'.

5. Reviewing Completed Tasks

To review completed tasks:

  • Navigate to the bottom right section of the task panel.

  • Here, you can view notes and details of completed tasks.

6. Accessing Full Contact Details

To view full contact details of an individual:

  • Click on 'View Contact Details' located on the left side of the task panel.

  • Regularly review the 'Tasks Due Today' section to prioritize your workload.

  • Use the filtering option frequently to stay organized and focused on your responsibilities.

  • Set reminders for future tasks to ensure timely completion.

When to use tasks

  • Use tasks for actions that require a follow-up, deadline, or next step.

  • Use the inbox for live conversations and active messaging.

  • If a conversation requires future action, it should become a task.

Task ownership

  • Each task is associated with a specific contact and owner.

  • Filtering by team member helps ensure accountability.

  • Review assigned tasks daily to avoid missed handoffs.

Recommended daily workflow

  • Start your day by reviewing Tasks Due Today.

  • Complete or update tasks immediately after each follow-up.

  • End the day by reviewing upcoming and future tasks.
