Value-level opt-out: block a phone number or email address for your organization on one medium (SMS, VOICE or EMAIL). Keyed on the normalized VALUE, not a contact: every contact carrying it, now and later, is blocked on send. SMS/VOICE take a phone in any format, EMAIL an address; an unparseable one is rejected (INVALID_PHONE_NUMBER / INVALID_INPUT). Idempotent. Blocks only the medium named (send VOICE too for calls). A person in the app clears it, or a developer-API key with clearChannelSuppression. Returns organizationId, normalizedValue, medium.

Variables

The example sends only what the schema requires. Some operations also need one of several optional variables (one filter or another, say); the description above says which.

mediumSuppressionMedium!required

The channel a value-level opt-out suppresses. SMS/VOICE take a phone value; EMAIL takes an email address.

Response

What comes back under data: a list shows as one entry, and a value as its type.

Errors

Idempotency

Send an Idempotency-Key of 1 to 255 characters. A finished request retried with the same key replays its stored response, marked Idempotency-Replayed: true; one still in flight returns 409 idempotency_conflict. Keys expire after 24 hours. Write without fear →
